Smoothie Nutrition

If you’ve been on the road to a healthier breakfast for a while, you’ve probably been enjoying smoothies at the start of your day. But sometimes, you’re ready for a new recipe to shake things up a bit and bring a whole new type of delicious into your life: enter the Dried Plum and Apple Green Smoothie.

Though you may not have heard much about dried plums, if you’re a healthy eater, then you should definitely have them on your radar. Dried plums are a nutrient-rich fruit that contain phytochemicals, many of which act as antioxidants in the body. They also provide the body with tons of dietary fiber, which can help to maintain healthy cholesterol levels while easing constipation, as well. Loaded with Vitamin K, dried plums also provide the body with Vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, and B-6.

Kiwi, when added to your smoothie, is a rich source of potassium to keep your body’s electrolytes in balance, antioxidants to prevent damage at the cellular level, tons of Vitamin C to boost the body’s immune system, and high fiber, which can reduce the “sugar rush” that is often experienced when ingesting large amounts of fresh fruit.

Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica Powder makes the smoothie truly come together, providing your body with added immune system, cardiovascular and brain support, in addition to tons of vitamins (A, K1, K2, B12, iron and manganese), and a boost of protein, too.

If you’ve been in the hunt for a power-packed smoothie to drink after workouts or first thing in the morning, and you don’t want the same old flavors, try the Dried Plum and Apple Green Smoothie!
