For over 30 years, Nutrex Hawaii has placed quality, consumer protection and food safety as our highest priority. We make the highest quality microalgae products in facilities on the pristine Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii in a biosecure zone.

We are regulated by the FDA for Foods and Dietary Supplements, the State of Hawaii Department of Health, the US Department of Agriculture, and the Federal Trade Commission and we have frequent independent audits and rigorous Quality Assurance and Supplier Approval programs in place. We are proud to be the producers of the first Non-GMO Project verified Spirulina brand.  The Non-GMO Project requires a rigorous audit of product manufacturing and of the ingredient supply chain. Because of this rigor and transparency required of suppliers, this third party certification is truly a symbol of quality.

We provide products that are based on two ingredients that are Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the US FDA for all food, beverage and nutritional supplement uses. This recognition is based on a thorough review of safety data by scientific experts to ensure that Dietary Ingredients are safe for human consumption.  It further reflects our commitment to providing you with products that are solidly backed by science.

We are extremely proud of our quality, but we know that these third party verifications are worthy of your confidence and trust. Their inspections consist of an intensive audit of our processes and practices, including manufacturing, packaging and labeling of our Dietary Supplement products according to the current GMP requirements.
