Spirulina Pesto (pasta sauce)

Increase the nutritional value of this traditional basil pesto by adding Hawaiian Spirulina.

Makes 4 Servings


- 1 packed cup fresh basil leaves 
- 3-5 tablespoons virgin olive oil 
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese 
- 3 cloves garlic 
- 2 tablespoons Hawaiian Spirulina powder
- pinch of salt 
- 2 ounces pine nuts, macadamia nuts, almonds, or walnuts


Blend all ingredients and toss with your favorite warm past or pasta salads.
